About this document

Hydraulic Brake System Overview by Satyanshu Pratap Singh is a document available to read on EtoBox.

The hydraulic brake system uses brake fluid to transmit pressure from the brake pedal or lever to the brake mechanisms near the wheels. When the brake pedal is pressed, it pushes the piston in the master cylinder, increasing pressure in the lines and forcing fluid to the caliper pistons. The caliper pistons then push the brake pads against the spinning rotor to generate braking force and slow the vehicle. Heat from the friction is dissipated through the rotor and pads. Releasing the pedal relieves pressure
