About this document
Understanding Cell Continuity and Division by Johnny bravs is a document available to read on EtoBox.
Cell continuity refers to the process by which all cells arise from pre-existing cells through three steps: producing materials, growing larger, and reproducing to form a new cell. Mitosis and meiosis are forms of cell division that allow for the growth and reproduction of cells in organisms. Mitosis produces two identical daughter cells during cell growth and renewal, while meiosis results in gametes with half the number of chromosomes to allow for genetic variation during sexual reproduction.
