This study explores the perceptions of English as an additional language (EAL) nursing students on the effectiveness of standardized patients as a teaching tool. Thirty-five EAL nursing students participated in focus groups to share their experiences using SPs. The analysis identified seven core concepts around how SP simulation creates a supportive learning environment and helps EAL students improve their language skills and comfort with communication.
