Our team at the Instituto de Ciencia Molecular in Valencia, Spain synthesized gold nanoparticles using a seed growth strategy and sodium citrate reduction method. This method allows controlling the size of spherical gold nanoparticles from 10 nm to over 180 nm by sequentially adding sodium citrate and gold chloride after the initial nanoparticle synthesis.
