This study examined the risk of overweight and metabolic syndrome in adult offspring of women who had gestational diabetes or type 1 diabetes during pregnancy. The study included 1066 adult offspring aged 18-27 years who were born to mothers with diet-treated gestational diabetes (n=168), normal glucose tolerance during pregnancy (n=141), or type 1 diabetes (n=160).
