What is Anne Spear: From Addiction to Academia about?

Anne Spear fell into drugs and depression in high school but witnessed her friend get arrested because of her skin color, sparking her passion for social justice. She went from drug abuse to getting degrees from Radford University and the University of Wyoming, working with juvenile delinquents and in the Peace Corps in Burkina Faso. Currently, Spear is finishing her Ph.D. at the University of Maryland after overcoming a difficult childhood and transforming her life through education and helping others.
