This experiment aims to measure the rate constant of the reaction between ethyl acetate and sodium hydroxide in a batch reactor and study liquid phase reaction kinetics. Solutions of ethyl acetate, sodium hydroxide, and hydrochloric acid were prepared. Ethyl acetate and sodium hydroxide were mixed for 5 minutes and samples were taken every 5 minutes and titrated with hydrochloric acid.
