What is Perlis Indera Kayangan: A Historical Overview about?

Perlis is the smallest state in Malaysia, located in the northern part of the Malay Peninsula. It was originally part of Kedah but came under Siamese rule before becoming a separate principality in 1843. The first Raja of Perlis was Sayyid Hussain Jamalulail. Perlis transitioned between Siamese, British, and Japanese rule over the years before becoming part of modern Malaysia in 1963. As of 2010, the population of Perlis was majority Muslim with minorities of Buddhists, Hindus, Christians, and others.
