This report summarizes the results of a test conducted to measure the drilling capacity of a new 1.5m drill steel before being sent for refurbishment. The test was conducted over 180 meters of drilling in UG2 rock. It was found that the drill steel could drill holes of 1.2 meters depth for a total of 216 meters before 30% of its capacity remained. However, the drill steel was stacked in one hole due to geological disturbances and was not used to its maximum potential.
