What is Particle Size Analysis of Rice Flour about?
An experiment was conducted to measure the particle size distribution of rice flour using a test sieve stack. The rice flour was sieved through sieves with different sized meshes. The weight retained on each sieve was measured and the weight percentage and cumulative undersize fraction were calculated. It was found that 15.6% of the rice flour was retained by the 0.425mm sieve, with most of the remaining particles passing through the 0.090mm and 0.075mm sieves.
