What is Theory of High-Temperature Superconductivity about?

## Abstract A new mechanism for the high‐__T__~c~ superconductivity is suggested. The antiferromagnetic order of the Cu spins between two neighbour O holes, i.e. the localized antiferromagnetic correlation may be the origin giving rise to the hole pair. The maximum of __T__~c~ is calculated for the YBaCuO superconductor using the similar method of calculating the antiferromagnet Neel temperature. The conclusion is made that the maximum of __T__~c~ for the YBaCuO superconductor is between 107.9 and 155.2 K, and the energy gap 2Δ(0) = 3.54__k__~B~__T__~c~.
