The experiment aimed to determine the total dissolved solids (TDS) and total suspended solids (TSS) in water samples from a university lake and river. Results indicated that the TSS for lake water was 0.015 g L-1 and for river water was 0.016 g L-1, while the TDS was significantly higher for lake water at 11377 mg L-1 compared to 801 mg L-1 for river water. Both water sources were deemed unsuitable for human consumption due to TSS and TDS levels exceeding safe limits.
