Ettore Beghi passed away on October 10th at the age of 75 in Milan, Italy. His battle with serious medical issues in recent months showed his courage in facing life's challenges. On behalf of so many colleagues and friends, would like to honor the memory of dr. Beghi. Ettore Beghi graduated in 1972 at the University of Milan Faculty of Medicine; he then held a post-doctoral clinical fellowship at the Neurologic Clinic of the University of Milan, a Master of Pharmacologic Research at the Istituto di Ricerche Farmacologiche Mario Negri in Milan, and spent one year as Research Fellow at the Department of Medical Statistic and Epidemiology at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota in 1982-83. From 1996 he held the position of head of the Laboratory of Neurological Disorders at the Mario Negri Institute. For more than 30 years he did clinical work at the Ospedale San Gerardo in Monza as the head and staff member of the Regional Epilepsy Center. He was an active member of several national and international scientific societies and committees and served as member of several Editorial Board of scientific journals.
