What is BRICS about?

BRICS is an informal grouping of Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa, which has expanded to include new members like Egypt, Ethiopia, Iran, and others. The group promotes South-South cooperation and aims for a multipolar world order, with significant initiatives like the New Development Bank established in 2014. Upcoming summits include the 17th in 2025 hosted by Brazil and the 18th in 2026 hosted by India, marking the 20th anniversary of BRICS.
