Can I read DENSITY MATRICES on EtoBox?
DENSITY MATRICES by Mitchel Weissbluth is a book available to read on EtoBox.
What is DENSITY MATRICES about?
A quantum–mechanical wave function, when it exists, conveys the maximum amount of information permitted by quantum mechanics concerning the properties of a physical system in the state described by the wave function. The wave function may be an eigenfunction of an observable Hermitian operator that represents a physical quantity or a linear superposition of eigenfunctions of an observable. In simple systems for which wave functions exist, it may be impossible to construct a wave function pertaining to a component of the system. It is for treating mixed states that the density matrix formalism was developed, although it is also applicable to pure states. This chapter discusses Fock–Dirac density matrices and spinless density matrices.
