This study examined the effects of Ocimum sanctum (tulsi) leaf extract on lipid profiles in hyperlipidemic rabbits. Rabbits were divided into 3 groups: those treated with tulsi extract, a control group, and a normal diet group. All groups were given an atherogenic diet for 18 months to induce hyperlipidemia, after which tulsi was administered to one group for 6 months.
