This thesis examines the optimal winding angles of symmetric and antisymmetric composite pressure vessels designed for maximum burst pressure. Glass fiber reinforced plastic pipes made of epoxy were tested under internal pressure. Both finite element analysis and experiments were conducted to determine the optimum winding angle.
