A 10-year-old female child presented with abdominal pain, nausea, severe constipation, rectal pain, and fever for one week and was diagnosed with megacolon. Physical examination revealed abdominal distention and tenderness with high-pitched bowel sounds. Ultrasonography showed thickening of the rectosigmoid region. She received ciprofloxacin, acetaminophen, IV fluids, risperidone, and underwent end-to-end anastomosis of the normal intestine.
