What is Effective Energy Saving Techniques for the System of Pneumatic Gauges about?
Pneumatic gauges are widely used in manufacturing for inspection of external or internal dimensions of shafts or holes. Pneumatic gauges require compressed air for their operation. Usually, in the pneumatic gauges, compressed air is under use only when the work pieces are to be inspected, but due to negligence, the compressed air flows continuously through the gauges even when not required. This happens as the compressed air supply is not switched off whenever not in need. The compressor itself cannot be shut off many times as many other machineries that require compressed air may be simultaneously under operation. So, the air is continuously wasted through the nozzles provided in the pneumatic gauges. This, accounts to a huge loss of compressed air in the rest of the working hours. This loss may be reduced to a couple of hours by creating awareness, but cannot be completely eliminated. Thus, a long-term solution to the problem is necessary. The paper is aimed at discussing various solutions for reducing these losses. We can achieve the best performance for the compressed air system witha compressed air flow controller.
