Alteplase/streptokinase/tenecteplase Various toxicities: 11 case reports In a retrospective study, which was conducted between January 2008 and December 2017, including 824 patients who received fibrinolytic agents, 11 patients aged between 33 and 77 years (9 men and 2 women) were described, who developed anaphylactic shock, hypotension, urticaria or angioedema during treatment with streptokinase, alteplase or tenecteplase for acute myocardial infarction or cerebral infarction [not all routes and dosages stated].Of the 11 patients, 9 patients with acute myocardial infarction started receiving streptokinase. Of which, 3 patients also received premedication with hydrocortisone. Eventually, within 10-240 minutes after the initiation of streptokinase, patients developed anaphylactic shock (n=2), hypotension (n=6) and urticaria (n=1). With subsequent treatment, 8 patients were recovered and one patient died [cause of death not stated]. The cerebral infarction patient started receiving alteplase 59mg.
