The study validated the Omron EVOLV upper arm blood pressure monitor according to the European Society of Hypertension International Protocol revision 2010. 33 subjects were recruited from a general population ranging in age from 26 to 91 years old. Measurements from the device and two observers were within 5 mmHg for 73% of systolic and 81% of diastolic readings. The device met all validation requirements and is recommended for personal use in a general population.
