This study analyzed isotopic signatures (δ18O, δ2H, and tritium) of groundwater, precipitation, river water, and canal water in the Ghaggar River basin in northwestern India to identify groundwater recharge sources and flow patterns. The results show that local precipitation is the main recharge source, but some sites show evidence of recharge from canal seepage and irrigation return flow.
