Nasa has developed a new humanoid robot called Robonaut 2 that will be sent to the International Space Station in September. The robot, also known as R2, bears a striking resemblance to the secretive character The Stig from the BBC show Top Gear. R2 is 300 pounds, has a head, torso, arms, hands and wears a white suit with a gold helmet. It will assist astronauts aboard the ISS and test operating in weightlessness.
