What is Mount Rushmore Presidents Carved about?

Mount Rushmore in South Dakota features the carved faces of four US presidents - George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Theodore Roosevelt, and Abraham Lincoln. Sculptor Gutzon Borglum led the project from 1927 to 1941 to carve the giant sculptures into the mountainside and promote tourism in the region. Over 450,000 tons of rock were removed through the use of dynamite and other tools to complete the massive memorial.
