About this document

Shear Strength of Treated Recycled Beams by natcostaa is a document available to read on EtoBox.

This study examines the shear behavior of reinforced concrete beams made with natural aggregate, untreated recycled concrete aggregate (RCA), and RCA treated with a surface treatment method. Ten full-scale beams were constructed and tested with shear span-to-depth ratios of 2.0 and 3.0. The RCA was pre-soaked in hydrochloric acid to remove mortar and then coated with sodium metasilicate pentahydrate solution. Treated RCA beams showed slightly higher shear capacity than untreated RCA beams. Treated RCA beams
