This paper presents an improved fuzzy C-means (FCM) algorithm for segmenting cucumber leaf spot disease images by utilizing neighborhood grayscale information. The method enhances extraction accuracy under complex backgrounds, achieving an average segmentation error of only 0.12% across 129 images tested. This robust segmentation technique can also be adapted for other agricultural imaging applications.
