Zarchy and Keyashian are conducting a research project studying ulcerative colitis in the Latino population served by Los Angeles County Hospital to understand specific genes that may contribute to the disease. They are looking for a motivated undergraduate student available Tuesday mornings from 8am to 1pm to discuss the project with Spanish-speaking patients at the gastroenterology clinic, obtain consent, and collect tissue samples via cheek swabs.
