What is Wake Up, Child God: A Poetic Blessing about?

The poem describes the preparation of the Baby Jesus for the day, while his godparents dress him in different garments such as little pants, a shirt, a skirt, a dress, a ribbon, a little hat, and little shoes. Finally, they sit him in a chair to worship him and ask for his blessing for the new year.
