What is Acute Streptococcal Gingivitis Case Report about?

This document describes a case report of a patient who presented with severe gingival pain and inflammation diagnosed as acute streptococcal infection. Bacterial cultures from the lesion grew streptococcus pyogenes and other microorganisms. The patient was successfully treated with scaling, root planing, curettage and antibiotics. A heat-cured acrylic gingival facade was fabricated to mask gingival recession following treatment.
