About this document

Corporate Governance and Capital Structure in Pakistan by Muhammad Saleem is a document available to read on EtoBox.

The study examined how corporate governance affects capital structure decisions of firms in Pakistan. The researchers analyzed data from 2004-2008 on non-financial firms listed on the Karachi Stock Exchange. They found that larger board size, more outside directors, and higher ownership concentration were positively related to higher total and long-term debt ratios. Higher director remuneration was negatively related to debt ratios, while greater managerial ownership was negatively related to long-term debt
