Color-tunable Bi3+–Tb3+–Eu3+ co-activated barium–yttrium-orthogermanate phosphors for applying white-light UV-LED by Seungyong Shin; Sangmoon Park is a Materials Science article available to read on EtoBox.
What is Color-tunable Bi3+–Tb3+–Eu3+ co-activated barium–yttrium-orthogermanate phosphors for applying white-light UV-LED about?
Bi 3? -Tb 3? -Eu 3? -doped barium-yttrium-orthogermanate phosphors under UV excitation were prepared as color-tunable and chromatic-stable materials based on the Ba 9 Y 2-(p?q?r) Bi p Tb q Eu r Ge 6 O 24 (p = 0-0.1, q = 0-1.2, p = 0-0.8) stoichiometry. Orthogermanate phosphors of trigonal unit cells (R3H) were synthesized via a solid-state method using a LiCl flux in air. The crystallized Ba 9 Y 2 Ge 6 O 24 host contained 12-, 9-, and 10-coordinated Ba 2? and 6-coordinated Y 3? sites with isolated GeO 4 polyhedrons. The single phases of the resultant phosphors were indexed by X-ray diffraction analysis without any noticeable impurities. The photoluminescence excitation and emission spectra of the Bi 3? -, Tb 3? -, and Eu 3?activated phosphors were monitored by critical concentration quenching. The energy transfer mechanism of the Bi 3? -and Eu 3? -doped phosphors was determined. The Bi 3? -Tb 3? -Eu 3?activated Ba 9 Y 2 Ge 6 O 24 phosphors under 310
