What is Continuous Hexamine Production Process about?

This document describes a new continuous process for producing hexamethylenetetramine (hexamine). The process allows for the direct addition of gaseous formaldehyde and ammonia into the reactor. Formaldehyde can come directly from an oxidation unit producing it from methanol. Heat from the hydration reactions and the exothermic main reaction is removed by vaporizing water from the reactor.
