What is Comelec Cancels Mall Voting Plan about?

The Comelec has scrapped its proposal to allow voting in malls for the upcoming May 9 elections. In a 4-3 vote, the Comelec commissioners decided against mall voting, overturning an earlier 6-1 vote in favor. Comelec Chairman Bautista, who had supported mall voting, apologized to voters who would have benefited from the more convenient mall polling places. However, the Comelec will still allow voters to receive one replacement ballot if their initial ballot is rejected by the vote counting machines.
