What is Wartime mission in Spain, 1942-1945 about?

Absolutely fantastic as a record of history. I really enjoyed this book's contents as a kind of back-story or record of non-typical information about WWII. This fellow was brilliantly chosen as U.S. ambassador, as a college professor, which set just the right tone in the relationship. What I gleaned most, as a research historian with focus on WWII and military history, are the mistakes made by the other side, beginning with their appointees, which projected an entirely opposite and, in the end, wrong message. A very basic PR lesson! The ambassador's description of critical war materials mining elements (and how he thwarted them) are expertly done, on a level of mastery seldom seen, since, perhaps, General Sherman's very detailed logistics numbers in his own memoirs.
