This study investigates the relationship between albumin levels and liver enzymes (SGOT, SGPT) and the de Ritis ratio in chronic hepatitis B patients at Dr. M. Djamil General Hospital, Padang, Indonesia. Results indicate that lower albumin levels correlate significantly with increased SGOT and de Ritis ratio, suggesting more severe liver damage, while no significant difference was found with SGPT levels. The findings highlight the potential of albumin as an indicator of liver function in chronic hepatitis B
