Vermont has set dates of November 3 and 4 for its youth deer hunting weekend. Young hunters between ages 15 and younger will have the opportunity to hone their hunting skills. They will also help wildlife biologists by reporting deer harvested at 24 biological reporting stations around the state. New York is conducting a statewide black bear survey to gather information from landowners on their experiences and perceptions of the bear population to inform management decisions.
