What is Detecting AI-Synthesized Fake Faces about?

This document proposes a method called FakeSpotter to detect AI-synthesized fake faces. FakeSpotter monitors neuron behaviors in deep learning models to capture subtle features that may identify fake faces. The method was tested on four types of fake faces generated by state-of-the-art GANs and shown to be effective at detecting the fakes, even when the images were perturbed to try to evade detection.
