About this document

Evaluating FACS Reliability in Emotions by harsh_rathod_2 is a document available to read on EtoBox.

This study evaluated the reliability of the Facial Action Coding System (FACS) for assessing spontaneous facial expressions. Two FACS-certified coders independently coded videos of spontaneous expressions from three emotion elicitation studies. The study found good to excellent reliability for the occurrence, intensity, and timing of individual action units, as well as for broader emotion-specified combinations. This suggests FACS can be reliably used to analyze spontaneous facial behavior.
