This study investigates the photodegradation of the antibiotic ciprofloxacin (CIP) in water using silver nanostructures (AgNSps and AgNPls) as photocatalysts under simulated sunlight. The results demonstrate that both types of silver nanoparticles effectively degrade CIP, achieving over 77% removal in just 5 minutes, with enhanced degradation rates in river water. This research highlights the potential of silver nanostructures for improving water treatment processes to mitigate antibiotic contamination.
