Muaro Jambi Temple Compounds: Muaro Jambi (Indonesian: Candi Muaro Jambi) Is A Buddhist by Edi Yanto is a document available to read on EtoBox.
The Muaro Jambi Temple Compounds is a large Buddhist temple complex located in Sumatra, Indonesia dating from the 11th to 13th century and built by the Melayu Kingdom. The complex covers 12 square kilometers along the Batang Hari River and includes over 80 mounds of temple ruins. It provides evidence that Muaro Jambi may have been the capital of the powerful Melayu Kingdom during its height in the 12th-13th century before being sacked by the Singhasari Kingdom of Java in 1278.
