This article presents a regioselective [3 + 2] cycloaddition reaction of 3-alkynoates with Seyferth−Gilbert reagent, leading to the formation of trisubstituted pyrazole-3-phosphonates. The reaction is catalyzed by Et3N and demonstrates good yields and regioselectivity, enabling the synthesis of fully substituted pyrazoles through a one-pot cycloaddition/alkylation sequence. The study highlights the potential of 3-alkynoates as effective electrophilic C2-synthons in organic synthesis.
