This paper presents a reactive transport model for predicting scale formation and deposition in water injection wells, particularly during low salinity waterflooding. The model integrates species transport equations with the geochemical software PHREEQC to simulate the precipitation of calcium carbonate scales, which can hinder well efficiency. Results indicate that factors such as higher temperature and salinity increase scale deposition, particularly in the lower sections of the wellbore.
