What is Faculty Acceptance of Online Education about?
The study investigates the predictors of faculty acceptance of online education using an extended version of the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM). Results indicate that while the model predicts intent to teach online and interest in offering online degree programs, it does not predict faculty perceptions of the value and legitimacy of online education. The findings highlight the importance of understanding faculty motivations and facilitating conditions to enhance online education adoption.
