What is Application of The Health Belief Model To Explain Pre-Conception Care Among Women With Sickle Cell Disease - A Crosssectional Study about?
This study investigates the application of the health belief model (HBM) to understand pre-conception care (PCC) adoption among women with sickle cell disease (SCD) in Iran. Results indicate that knowledge, perceived susceptibility, and self-efficacy are significant determinants of PCC engagement, with education levels of both women and their husbands also influencing adoption rates. The findings aim to inform educational interventions to improve PCC participation in this high-risk group.
