Jellyfish are invertebrate animals that live in saltwater. They have a simple bag-like body and tentacles armed with stinging cells. Jellyfish lack brains, hearts, bones and eyes. They reproduce both sexually and asexually. The adult medusa stage reproduces sexually while the polyp stage reproduces asexually. Jellyfish feed primarily on plankton but will also eat small fish, crustaceans and other jellyfish. There are over 2000 known jellyfish species divided into four main groups that differ in life cycles
