What is Understanding Cariñosa in Filipino Dance about?

This module covers folk dance and modern dance. It includes three lessons: folk dance, Cariñosa, and modern dance. Cariñosa is a Philippine folk dance that originated in the Panay Islands. It is a flirtatious dance where dancers hide behind fans and peek at one another, representing the courtship between two sweethearts. The module aims to help students understand various dances, appreciate Philippine culture, and learn dance skills and techniques.
