What is Configure Application Identity Service about?

The Application Identity service determines and verifies the identity of applications. To ensure AppLocker policies are enforced, the service must start automatically through Group Policy. Group Policy can configure the service to start automatically by editing the GPO, navigating to security settings, double-clicking Application Identity, and setting it to automatic start. Alternatively, the service can be started manually through the Task Manager or command prompt.
