Incubator Care Reduces Adult Depression by John Christopher Booc is a document available to read on EtoBox.
Babies who received incubator care after birth were found to be 2-3 times less likely to suffer from depression as adults according to a new study. The study examined over 1,000 children born in Quebec and found that only 5% of those placed in incubators developed depression by age 21, compared to 9% of those not in incubators. Researchers believe incubators provide a controlled environment that can optimize brain development and that children who used incubators received more emotional support from mothers
