What is Kalinga Tribe: Culture and Legal System about?

The Kalinga people are known as strong warriors who were once feared as headhunters. They have a complex traditional legal system centered around peace pacts called bodong that establish laws between tribes. Bodong holders and leaders called pangat work to peacefully resolve disputes using oral traditions handed down over generations. The Kalinga practice wet rice farming and grow crops like coffee, while maintaining a kinship-based social structure.
