About this document

Water Resource Resilience in Tacloban by Irah Biaco is a document available to read on EtoBox.

This study uses hydrological modeling to assess the resilience of water resources in Tacloban, Philippines under climate change. The QSWAT model was used to simulate impacts on 3 rivers from rising temperatures and changing rainfall patterns under 2 climate scenarios for 2020 and 2050. Results showed significant periods where river flows would be insufficient to meet water demands, particularly for Binahaan River which is the current water source. However, Pongso and Cabayugan Rivers could be more resilient
